We were unable to secure the Fantasmic dinner pkg on the night we wanted. If we try to see Fantasmic w/o the pkg is the wait going to be unbearable? Can one person stand in line and save spots while another person takes 5 yr old daughter on rides?

Hi, Carole!  The lines for Fantasmic do get quite long.   I suggest you get to the line for Fantasmic at least 45 minutes prior to the show.

Your entire party will need to stay together.  Literally thousands will pour into the Fantasmic ampitheatre.  It would be difficult at best to join up with your family once the crowds begin to fill in all the seating.

To keep your daughter busy, perhaps have some snacks for her to munch on.    Or, I like to pick-up light sticks from my local "dollar store" and keep them in my backpack for the parks.  When waiting in lines like these, I let the kids light them up and play with them.  Also, a game of "I Spy!"  can keep kids entertained for a long time!

I hope your family enjoys the show!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
