Hey there, hi there, Sara! Welcome to planDisney! We are so glad you stopped by to ask us a question about military tickets.
As a military spouse, we love being able to take advantage of the offers that Disney extends to military members. I'm sorry to hear that your new ID card hasn't come in yet. To answer your question, it all depends on which ticket type you are inquiring about. If you are just trying to purchase the standard Disneyland tickets that anyone with military base ticket office privileges can purchase, that should be fine for someone else to purchase them for you. Usually, you will get ticket info that when you go to add the ticket info to your Disney account in the
Disneyland app, you will be able to put names in for each ticket. If you are inquiring about the
Disney Military Promotional Tickets, these have very specific details on who can purchase these as well as how many can be purchased. These tickets are limited to 6 per military member per promotional period and one of those tickets needs to be used by the military member, so unfortunately it would not work for someone else to purchase those for you.
I want to make sure you are aware that currently, you must have both a theme park ticket and
theme park ticket reservation for entry into the parks. Usually, if you purchase the ticket through Disney, the reservations are made for you, however, since you are purchasing them on base you will need to do this yourself. I suggest you do this as soon as possible because dates are filling up. You can take a look at the
Theme Park Availability Calendar to make sure the days you want to visit are available.
Sara, thanks so much for stopping by. Let us know if you have any other questions as you plan your visit.
