Hello Lindsay,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. It is a pleasure to answer your question. Some dining locations really are popular and advanced reservations, which can be made up to 180 days in advance, are highly recommended.
My family and I are also staying at
Disney’s Beach Club Resort in July, and the same drama that happened to you also happened to me: I simply couldn’t find available times to make a reservation for breakfast at the amazing and extremely popular
Cape May Café.
But I decided that I would not give up. I started to constantly check online, as well as the
My Disney Experience mobile app. I kept checking several times during the day until I found an available time. Sometimes people make reservations but then their plans change, and they end up cancelling. Do not give up, even after arriving at the Walt Disney World Resort, and even if you don’t have a reservation, you can always show up at the restaurant and check if they are able to accommodate your party.
That happened to my father at
Cinderella’s Royal Table, which is one of the most popular dining locations at Disney. He couldn’t make a reservation, but he showed up at the restaurant and found out a party simply hadn’t shown up so he was given their table. If this is an important experience for you and your family, do not give up.
I am sending lots of pixie dust your way hoping you can enjoy Cape May Café with your family in the summer.
Best magical wishes,
Thiana
