Hi Priscilla! Welcome aboard! Here at planDisney, we’re all sunshine and smiles, eagerly anticipating the joy and magic you and your family are about to experience with Captains Mickey and Minnie.
As a fellow resident of the Sunshine State, I completely understand the importance of sun protection. You are allowed to use an umbrella shade attachment for your stroller. Bringing a refillable water bottle is also a good idea to help keep everyone hydrated throughout the day. Depending on your kids' ages, you might want to swing by Guest Services after you disembark at the family beach tram stop and pick up a complimentary beach-friendly wagon.
My family and I recently returned from the
preview cruise at Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, and it has quickly become our favorite beach destination. The sand is incredibly soft on the shore and in the water! What impressed me the most was the wide range of family-friendly activities, including the opportunity to experience Junkanoo. For a convenient map of the island and a complete schedule of activities, check out the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. Definitely stop for a picture with Mickey or his friends in their new island attire.
Priscilla, if you need some packing inspiration, Disney Cruise Line offers a
helpful packing checklist. I also think it’s a good idea to look at the
Prohibited Items list so there are no hiccups at the port. I hope this information helps and that it’s smooth sailing ahead.
SEAS the adventure!
