UK visitor trying add Genie + to my 14 day ticket before the window closes on 7th. Booked through Disney travel company and. being told this option is no longer available.. How can I add this? Travelling 25th June

Hi Jacqueline Dawn! Welcome to planDisney!

Zip-a-dee-doo-dah, zip-a-dee-ay! My, oh, my, what a wonderful day! Less than a month away until you arrive for your Walt Disney World holiday! Now is the time to start finalizing all the last-minute details to make sure your plans are set for your magical arrival day. With some of the recent changes at Walt Disney World, it's best to make sure you are up to speed on the latest details!

One of the biggest changes to take place has been to Disney Genie+, specifically when you can add the service to your tickets. Starting on June 8th, all new ticket purchases will not have the option to add Disney Genie+ before your visit. All Guests will need to purchase the service each day that they wish to use it. I was able to confirm with a friendly Cast Member earlier that if you have an existing ticket package at this time, you will not be able to add it before June 8th either. But do not let this deter you from using Disney Genie+. It's very easy to add on the day of the visit.

To do so, make sure you download the My Disney Experience App to your mobile device and log in to your account. For each park day that you want to add on Disney Genie+, you'll need to purchase it using the app. The process is very simple and can be completed in a matter of moments. Once you are in the app, tap on the three horizontal bars on the bottom right of your screen, followed by "My Genie Day". Once here, select the purple bar that reads "Get Disney Genie+ For Today". Follow the prompts from here to complete the purchase. You can add this at any time of the day, starting at midnight the day of.

When Guests were able to purchase the service before their visit, they needed to add Disney Genie+ for their entire length of stay. With the Magic Ticket being up to 14 days long, there were probably some days that Guests paid for but did not actually use the service. By purchasing it the day of, you will now only have to pay for it on the days you wish to use it. You may be able to save a bit by using it this way!

Jacqueline Dawn, I'm sure during your extended trip, you will have the chance to visit EPCOT! I highly recommend trying to snag a boarding group for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. From everything I've heard from my fellow planDisney panelists and Guests who have had the chance to ride it, it is a must-try attraction! You'll have two opportunities during your park day to use the Virtual Queue System to try and secure a return time. At 7 AM and 1 PM, log on to your My Disney Experience App and tap on the three horizontal bars on the bottom right corner of the screen. Select "Virtual Queue" and follow the prompts to join the queue.

I hope you have an amazing time at the Most Magical Place on Earth!

    See ya real soon!
