    I am from the UK and have a trip planned for May 2023. Can I pre- purchase magic bands for pick up at our hotel Boardwalk Villas on arrival?

    Hiya Kay! Welcome to planDisney!

    I'm excited you'll be traveling to the Walt Disney World Resort in just a few short months! Now is the perfect time to plan for your upcoming visit! Advanced Dining Reservations will be available 60 days in advance of your stay and since you are staying in a Disney Resorts Hotel, you'll be able to book your reservations for your entire length of stay (up to 10 days)! 

    Kay, in regards to your question, Guests residing in the UK are not eligible to pre-purchase MagicBands and have them delivered to your resort upon arrival. However, there are plenty of opportunities once you arrive in Florida to purchase MagicBands for your trip. When you touch down at the Orlando International Airport, there is a gift shop inside the airport that sells MagicBands. You can potentially purchase a MagicBand before you even step foot on Walt Disney World property. 

    Once you arrive at Disney's BoardWalk Villas, stop by the Screen Door General Store to look through the selection of MagicBands that they offer. If you don't end up finding one that you want here, stop by the surrounding Disney Resorts Hotels only steps away to see if they have a larger selection. You'll also find MagicBands and the newly released MagicBand+ at all four theme parks and Disney Springs. You'll certainly have plenty of opportunities to find what you are looking for. 

    Once you purchase a MagicBand or MagicBand+, you'll need to link them to your My Disney Experience account in order to use them. To do so easily, open up the My Disney Experience App on your mobile device and tap on "MagicBands and More". Scroll down to "Link Your MagicBand or Card and select the option that is easiest for you. I've always found that entering the ID on the back of the band was the best option for me. Then, you'll need to select the Guest in your party that you want this specific band linked to. Once you complete the steps, you'll be able to start using your MagicBand immediately!
