Hello Holly!
Welcome back to planDisney! I’m excited to hear you’re preparing to register for 2027 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend! While we don’t know the exact dates that registration will open yet, it is never too early to start preparing! I recently started planning for Wine and Dine Weekend in 2026, so I'm also hoping for a successful registration!
At this time,
Club runDisney is open to residents of the U.S. and U.S. Territories only. Unfortunately, you’ll be unable to register for Club runDisney membership. When it comes to event registration, you should be able to follow the regular registration procedure. If you already have a
MyDisney account (this is the account you use for the My Disney Experience app, Disney+, or other accounts with The Walt Disney Family of Companies), you can use that login information to access the runDisney registration form once it opens.
As I stated previously, the official dates for the 2026-2027 runDisney season have not been released yet. In previous years, the calendar was usually released in January, so I hope we continue to follow that pattern! The calendar also included the registration dates for each race, which are often several months in advance. In the past, registration opened around 10 AM Eastern, however, registration procedures are subject to change. I recommend getting on the runDisney site about 10 minutes early and waiting for the event page to update. Once you reach the registration form, you can choose your event, then enter your contact information, like name, address, date of birth, and emergency contact information. Your registration is not complete until you reach the payment confirmation page! Registration can be exciting, but nothing compares to the energy of a race morning.
Once you are registered, you can visit the
Training Programs page of the runDisney website. These programs were created by Jeff Galloway with the runDisney events in mind. You’ll find plans for individual distances and the unique challenges of runDisney race weekends, like 10K and Half Marathon programs, Goofy, and Dopey plans. I used the Dopey plan to train for my 2022 Dopey finish!
I hope this helps, Holly. Good luck registering for your event. Keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog and
runDisney Blog for that future race calendar and details about registration! If you have any more questions, please come back to see us again at
planDisney.
