Hi Kerry,
Welcome to planDisney and thank you so much for asking us a question, my fellow international traveller!
I believe that you’ll be travelling to the United States from the United Kingdom. If that’s the case, then I’m afraid your ability to purchase One-Day Theme Park Tickets is somewhat limited. Residents of the UK who wish to pre-purchase their Theme Park Tickets must purchase them via
Walt Disney World Resort’s UK website, which only allows for the purchase of
7-Day or 14-Day Magic Tickets at this time.
If you’d like to purchase a Theme Park Ticket for a single day, your pre-purchasing options are somewhat limited. I don’t believe that you can access the website’s
United States – English version from your location but, if you can, you might be able to purchase Theme Park Tickets there or by downloading the My Disney Experience app to your smartphone and accessing the in-app ticket purchasing options. You may also be able to visit the
European version of the Walt Disney World Resort website and purchase a 2-Day Theme Park Ticket there. Please note, however, that single day Theme Park Tickets aren't available there, either.
If none of those options is available to you, your only option might be to speak to an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner (travel agent) or to purchase your tickets when you arrive in the United States. If you choose the latter, I would highly recommend that you purchase your tickets at the
Disney Springs Welcome Center prior to the day on which you plan to visit one of the Theme Parks. That way, you’ll be able to get to the Magic and start your Disney Day more quickly, without having to queue at a ticket window or Guest Relations prior to entering the park.
Finally, I strongly encourage you to check the
Theme Park Reservation Availability Tool to make sure that the date you’d like to visit is still available. You may need to be flexible with your dates, especially if you’re planning to visit during the
Holidays at Walt Disney World Resort. Please note that, regardless of the time of year you choose to visit, the closer you get to your vacation dates, the more availability can become limited for all Theme Parks.
I’m truly sorry I wasn’t able to help you make your Disney vacation dreams come true, but I hope some of these alternatives do help you plan the perfect holiday. Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions. We’re always happy to help when we can!
Have a Magical Day,
Lynne
