Hello there, Claire! Thanks for stopping by planDisney and asking your question!
I'm delighted to hear that you are planning a vacation to the Happiest Place on Earth next year! Booking a
vacation package is definitely a smart route to take as you can combine your Disneyland Resort Hotel or
Good Neighbor Hotel reservation, theme park tickets, and even transportation from the airport or a rental car into one transaction. If you are more than 30 days out from your arrival date, you will only have to pay a deposit at the time of booking. Then you can make payments toward your package in any amount and at any time as long as your vacation package is paid in-full 30 days prior to arrival.
For vacation packages, cancellations made 30 days or more prior to the arrival date will be refunded in full (minus any cancellation fees charged by third-party suppliers or any non-refundable travel protection plan costs). If you cancel your vacation package from five to 29 days prior to the arrival date, you will be refunded all amounts paid except for a $200 cancellation fee (minus any cancellation fees charged by third-party suppliers or any non-refundable travel protection plan costs). If you have to cancel your vacation package four days or less prior to arrival, the full price of the package is non-refundable.
If you end up booking a hotel room separately from a package, you must cancel at least five days prior to the arrival date for a full refund of your hotel booking. Room-only cancellations made less than five days prior to the arrival date will be charged a cancellation fee of the first night's room rate plus taxes and fees.
I hope this information was helpful. Happy planning!
