Rachel from Merseyside Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

We’re from the UK and due to go to WDW in August 2022 staying on property. My boyfriend would like to build a lightsaber for his birthday. Can we book 60 days prior to the start of the vacation or from the date we want to build the lightsaber?

How ya doin' Rachel and welcome to planDisney!

You and your Prince Charming are in for a magical time at the Walt Disney World Resort this August. The 50th Anniversary Celebration will still be in full swing which means lots of exciting new attractions, treats, and merchandise to explore. Now that you've booked your trip, the next step is to book all that fabulous experience you're looking for.

If your boyfriend is a Star Wars fan, of course booking a visit to Savi's Workshop -  Handbuilt Lightsabers is going to be a highlight of this trip. You can book that out-of-this-world experience exactly 60 days from the start of your vacation. As a matter of fact, the rule is that you can make your reservations 60 days prior to your arrival for up to 10 days of your vacation. The same rules also apply to your Advanced Dining Reservations. So when you're booking that special Star Wars experience be sure to get a reservation for drinks at Oga's Cantina as well!

Pro-tip: Building a lightsaber isn't the only fun to be had at the Walt Disney World Resort. Be sure to look over the Enchanting Extras Collection to see what other ways you can add a little sparkle to your vacation. There are dessert parties, specialty cruises, and tours to bring in a little extra pixie dust.

Rachel, I hope I've been able to help you today. If you have any other questions, please feel free to come back for another chat!

    Happy planning!
