Hello Anne, and welcome to planDisney.
As the current
UK-based planDisney Panelist, I must begin by telling you that it always makes my zip-a-dee-doo-dah-day when I have the pixie-dusted opportunity of assisting a fellow British Guest, who like me, also visits Mickey and Minnie Mouse from across the other side of the Atlantic Ocean!
Thank you for sharing that you're planning on what's sure to be a jolly holiday to Walt Disney World Resort later this year. No doubt you'll be glad to hear that through early 2023, Mickey & co will still be continuing to celebrate the
World's Most Magical Celebration as part of the 50th Anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort.
With so much to do and see in Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort, I just know you'll be spoilt for a choice of which fun activity, delicious dining, or serious shopping opportunity to enjoy first!
Anne, I'm more than happy to share that I've personally been able to successfully use my UK-registered bank Visa debit card for transactions made at Walt Disney World Resort. However, before using your debit card on holiday, I would take moment to check with your bank for any potential transaction fees, or charges that might be incurred for using your card in the United States of America.
It's good to know that at present
Guests visiting Walt Disney World Resort are more than welcome to use any one of these methods of payment -
- Visa
- MasterCard
- American Express
- Discover Card
- Diners Club Charge Card
- JCB (Japan Credit Bureau)
-
Disney Gift Card - Disney Rewards Dollars
- Disney® Visa® Card
Plus, it might be useful to be aware that for Guest convenience you'll find 24-hour Chase
ATM machines dotted across Disney property. Similar to the accepted payment methods at Walt Disney World Resort, both Mastercard and Visa debit or credit cards are also among those cards accepted for use in an ATM.
However, it's definitely worth bearing in mind that transaction fees are payable for any cash withdrawals to any cardholder using a card that has not been issued by Chase.
I hope I've been able to provide a little insight and guidance for you today Anne. You'll be as welcome as can be to return to
me here at planDisney if you should have any follow-up questions concerning your upcoming plans to visit the most magical place on earth during November of this year.
Have a great Disney day ~
Jane
