Disney Genie+ to the parks a few years ago, many Guests are still getting aquatinted on how to use this service on their upcoming trips. There have been a few changes since it was originally introduced which may be contributing to some confusion.
All Guests visiting the theme parks have the option to purchase
Disney Genie+ each day of their visit. You are no longer allowed to purchase this service in advance since you must wait until the day of to do so. The price to purchase does vary each day and will also depend on what park you will be visiting. You can purchase it as early as midnight of your park day and will have to repeat this process each day you wish to use it.
I suggest downloading the
My Disney Experience App to your mobile device upon arrival to Orlando and logging into your account. To purchase this service, open the app and tap on the purple bar that reads "Disney Genie+ Service." Once you tap on "Purchase", follow the prompts to select the park you are visiting and complete your purchase. You can make your first Lightning Lane selection each day beginning at 7 AM.
Having Disney Genie+ by your side is the best way to maximize your time in the parks. It allows you to bypass the standby queue on select attractions and use this additional time you created to enjoy more aspects of the parks. You can experience more rides or explore the parks at a slower pace. Using this service has been a game-changer for my family during our visits!
