Hi Julie, welcome to planDisney!
You're quite right that there have been some changes to the Disability Access Service (DAS) since your last visit. It's worth noting the changes intend to ensure that Guests access the
most suitable accommodations for their needs and that the outstanding level of care from the Cast Members at Walt Disney World remains the same. I know they will do their utmost to accommodate any needs. Now, let's get straight to navigating those changes.
Now, to see if you qualify for DAS, you must participate in an online video chat upon your arrival at Walt Disney World. International Guests like us must be in the US to have this conversation.
So, once at Walt Disney World or on US soil, speak with a Cast Member on a
video chat (please know this link will not work outside the US). You can discuss your needs and requirements with a Cast Member. They shall then help you work through any accommodations to ensure your visit is as enjoyable as possible.
If you need help with the video chat process, visit
Guest Relations at any Theme Park or Disney Resort location. The Cast Members will assist and ensure you receive the necessary support.
Let me know if you have any
further questions, Julie. We're here to help make your visit magical!
Louise
