Hi uh I'm turning 27 this coming April I've never celebrated my birthday at Walt Disney World I'm so excited to be flying out . I will land at 1:00! any advice on where to go but here is the thing I don't drink so that is out for me. Thanks

    Hi Alicia,
Happy Birthday! A visit to Walt Disney World sounds like a perfect plan for a magical celebration! I'm not sure how long you are staying or if you'll be traveling with anyone, but I do have some ideas for making your trip special.

Make sure you get a birthday button. If you are staying at a WDW Resort, they should have some at the front desk. If not, you can pick one up at guest services in any of the parks.

    Now, what to do...

    • Treat yourself to a wonderful meal (or several). Some of my favorite restaurants include: Jiko, Tutto Italia, Flying Fish Cafe, and California Grill. If you can get a reservation at California Grill, you'll get to experience an amazing view of the fireworks over Cinderella Castle.
    • If you can get a dinner reservation to Be Our Guest, it's worth a visit. If not, consider going at lunch. It's beautiful - you really feel like you are in Beast's Castle.
    • Take some time to pamper yourself with a spa treatment. Call 407-939-7727 to make a reservation or get more information.
    • Take a tour. Wild Africa Trek at Animal Kingdom may seem a bit pricey, but guests rave about it. If wild animals aren't your thing, there are tons of other options.
    • How about some bowling? If you're traveling with a group, check out Splitsville.
    • You're visiting during the Flower and Garden Festival, the most beautiful time of the year at Epcot. There are concerts each night featuring bands from "back in the day". Take some time to enjoy the music and just relax.
Don't forget to experience all of your favorite attractions! This is your celebration, after all!

Hope this helps. Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
