Can I Uber to the Polynesian and ride the monorail to magic kingdom?

    Hiya Sharrae,

Welcome to planDisney! Getting to Magic Kingdom Park is like an experience on its own. Unlike the other three Theme Parks, getting to the parking lot is only the first step on your journey.

I was lucky enough to stay at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort during my last Walt Disney World Resort visit. The monorail access to Magic Kingdom Park was one of the main reasons we wanted to stay there (especially with a small child). Unfortunately, Guests who are not staying at that resort are restricted from using rideshares to travel to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort so they can travel via the monorail. To be dropped off there, you would either need to be a Guest of the resort or have a dining reservation. Your driver will be redirected to the Transportation and Ticket Center without a dining reservation or a resort reservation. Now I know this likely alters your plans, but can I let you in on a secret? The lines to catch the monorail from the three Magic Kingdom Park resorts tend to be very long due to all of the Guests trying to get on, so it can take longer than you anticipate to get to the Theme Park. My family and I didn’t find it all that much quicker to catch the monorail from Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort every morning. Believe it or not, we found it faster to get to Magic Kingdom by ferry from the Transportation Ticket Center in the morning over the resort monorail.

I hope this was helpful, Sharrae. Please come back and see us if you need anything else!

    Happy Planning,
