Hey there, Marta, and welcome back to planDisney! I'm so glad you stopped by with your question.
Like you, I hail from the tiny but mighty state of New Jersey, and there's something about
Disney's Boardwalk that just feels like home! Whether I'm staying at
Disney's BoardWalk Inn or just stopping by for a drink at
AbracadaBar, I always make time to "hit the boards" and soak up those Jersey Shore vibes. I LOVE that you're planning to spend some time there on your upcoming visit, so let's jump right in and explore your transportation options!
First of all, I'm happy to share that you are welcome to take an Uber to the Boardwalk, a
s long as you have a confirmed dining reservation at the resort. What better excuse to dig into dessert at
The Cake Bake Shop Restaurant® by Gwendolyn Rogers? Of course, if you're not into cake (in which case, I'm sorry, but we
cannot be friends), consider snagging a ressie over at the
Yachtsman Steakhouse at Disney's Yacht Club Resort or at
Beaches & Cream Soda Shop at Disney's Beach Club Resort instead (you can redeem yourself with ice cream!). In this case, you'd take an Uber to the appropriate resort and then walk over to the Boardwalk after your meal.
Even if you're not planning a meal during your visit, there are plenty of ways to get to the Boardwalk, especially if you're staying at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel! My favorite free option is to use the
Walt Disney World transportation system, which includes buses, boats, the monorail, and the Disney Skyliner. There are lots of different ways to make the trip, depending on where you're coming from. For instance, if you're coming from Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, simply take the Disney Skyliner to the EPCOT station and walk to the Boardwalk from there. Coming from Disney's Art of Animation Resort? Take a bus to Disney's Hollywood Studios and take the boat or walk the path along the canal!
As a final option, don't forget about the
Disney Minnie Van™ Service Connected by Lyft. Minnie Vans are fast, direct, and super easy to use. Best of all, they can take you just about anywhere on Walt Disney World property! Just open your Lyft app to view prices and pay for your ride.
I hope this information is helpful, Marta, and that you find the magic in this little slice of home. If you have any other planning questions, you know
where to find me right here at planDisney!
Magic awaits,
Allison
