Do Uber drivers in the area have car seats in their cars? We are flying into John Wayne this weekend and trying to get from the airport to the park. Any tips will be appreciated!

Greetings, Becca, and thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It’s great to have you hEAR! It looks like you may have already embarked on your Disneyland Resort adventures, but just in case, I wanted to help you with your transportation question.

I’m so glad to hEAR you’re flying in to John Wayne Airport (SNA). It’s just about 15 minutes from the Disneyland Resort, which makes for a quick ride for your family. Since the Disneyland Resort Express and SuperShuttle are no longer offering transportation to the Disneyland Resort, the Resort is now recommending an alternative local shuttle service called Karmel Shuttle. However, Karmel Shuttle doesn’t provide child safety seats or allow lap-sitting. So, if you choose to make a reservation with Karmel Shuttle, you’ll need to provide your own safety seats. If you prefer traveling without your own safety seats, opting for a rideshare service is another great idea. A friend of mine recently used UberX, which provides car seats when requested, and had a great experience. All ground transportation pick-up locations can be found in the Ground Transportation Center (GTC), which is within walking distance from the baggage claim area. The GTC is on the Arrival Level in the center of the East Parking Structure and can be reached by crossing the airport roadway at the traffic light near the John Wayne Statue.

Another option is to rent a car with safety seats. My family recently chose this option on a vacation with our three little Mouseketeers, and it was so nice to not have to worry about lugging around three car seats during our travels!

If you find yourself needing a stroller upon arrival at the Resort, simply head to Stroller Rentals, located to the right of the Disneyland Park Main Entrance. You can rent a single, jogging-style stroller, or a double, tandem-style stroller for your little ones on a daily basis. In addition, I recommend using the helpful Baby Care Centers. There’s one in each park, and they’re the perfect spot to change, feed, nurse, or purchase any baby essentials you may have forgotten.

I hope this information helps, Becca! Wishing you a memorable visit to the Happiest Place on Earth!
