We typically stay off site while in town however a few years ago if you were in the park for the night time magic hours you were not asked to show your resort id and were able to stay in the park. Has that changed?

    Hi, Renee!

Extra Magic Hours are an exclusive benefit for guests staying at Walt Disney World Resorts.  Any park guest inside a park during Extra Magic Hours will be asked to show their resort ID (Key to the World card) to cast members once regular park hours are over.    I have been asked for my ID when getting into lines for attractions and even when entering gift shops once Extra Magic Hours have started.

If you are not staying on property, check park calendars and enjoy the parks that have later hours scheduled without Extra Magic Hours.  Other options for evenings include Downtown Disney, the Boardwalk, great dinner shows (Spirit of Aloha or Hoop Dee Doo Revue) or wonderful dining at many of the Deluxe Resorts.  There is certainly plenty to keep you busy!

Enjoy your stay in Orlando and hope to See Ya Real Soon!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is sailing with Disney Cruise Line, running (or cheering!) at runDisney events, taking hula lessons at Aulani, or vacationing at the Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. I am proud to be a part of the planDisney team and cannot wait to share my tips and advice for a magical vacation
