typically speaking, is it too cold to swim in early Oct at DW? I'm planing our itinerary and wanted to leave one day open for a pool day or I may add water park pass but I'm wondering if it will be too chilly to really enjoy it.

    Hi, Jenna!

I checked last year's weather in Orlando and it was in the mid-80's for most of the month of October. That sounds like perfect swimming weather to me! I think your plan for a pool day or day at a waterpark sounds like a splashing good time!

On your "day off" from the theme parks, you might also want to visit Disney Springs. This wonderful destination is the perfect place to shop, dine, see a movie, or even go bowling. My family loves to make a lunch stop at D-Luxe Burger. There burgers are out of this world, and the milkshakes are worth every calorie! You can even use Mobile Food and Beverage Ordering to avoid lines. Order your meal on the My Disney Experience app, pay with your credit card, and your food will be prepared. Stop by the Mobile Order Pick Up counter for your delicious lunch or dinner!

Enjoy your swim/shop/relax day during your visit to Walt Disney World!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
