Is it typically faster to take the WDW Bus to Disney Springs or the Water Taxi from POFQ

    Hi Anthony!

I'm glad to answer your question because Disney's Port Orleans - French Quarter holds a special place in my heart. I've spent my honeymoon there and used both services to get to and from Disney Springs many times.

The Sassagoula River Cruise trip is faster with an average time of 20 minutes opposed to an average bus ride of 25 minutes, but remember that your total estimate time has to also consider wait times.

To help you choose the best option, the Walt Disney World Resort has recently rolled out a feature on the My Disney Experience mobile app that enables Guests to check estimates for buses departing and arrival times. Bus services operate until later than the Sassagoula River Cruise, so they might be a better option for late nights.

My Magical Tip: I tend to choose the Sassagoula River Cruise over the bus shuttle because I love to spot the Treehouse Villas at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa and admire the Resort grounds through the river. I'm sure the landscape will look especially beautiful during your trip in March, as spring begins to awaken all the beautiful gardens and woods at the Walt Disney World Resort.

As spring arrives, you will also be able to enjoy the 2019 Epcot® International Flower & Garden Festival with its amazing garden designs, concerts, fresh flavors and tours offered from March 6 to June 3.

Please come back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel if you want more advice to plan your upcoming trip. We are here to help!

May the magic be with you,

    Julie
