Is it typically too cold for the waterparks in January?

    Hello Kathleen,
Hmm, "too cold" is such a subjective concept. I am from Iowa, so when it is 10 degrees here in January, a 65 degree day seems downright balmy!  January at Walt Disney World can see temps in the 80s and lows in the 30s, so it could definitely go either way. However, both Disney's Typhoon Lagoon and Disney's Blizzard Beach heat their water to a pretty comfortable temperature throughout the year. In my opinion, it would be best to wait until you are actually in Florida to determine if you want to hit one of the water parks. Also, it is typical for one of the parks to be closed during that time of the year for refurbishment, but it is likely that at least one will be open in January.

I hope you get the opportunity to visit one of the water parks- they are splash-tastic!

    See ya real soon,
    Anne
