Hi Marilee! Welcome to planDisney!
It sounds like you are planning a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort this fall. With numerous options to consider, there is no shortage of amazing experiences to include in your planning. This includes a visit to one of
Disney's Water Parks, which are packed with fun and a great alternative to a day at the theme parks.
While
park hours have not been released just yet for this October, we can get an idea of what they may look like based on previous years. First, it will be interesting to see which water park is open during your visit. At this time, both
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon and
Disney's Blizzard Beach are welcoming Guests until early September. After that, I'm assuming Disney will close one down for refurbishments while keeping the other open. Regardless of the time of year, each water park typically opens around 10 AM each day. I would expect the park to close anytime between 5-7 PM, with sunset occurring around 7 PM during this time of year. Remember, this is just a guess, and times are subject to change at any time. I suggest checking back to the Walt Disney World website for the most up-to-date park hours.
Regardless of which water park is open during your stay, you are bound to have a fantastic time. There are similar aspects to each park, with each one offering its own version of a lazy river and wave pool. The theming is incredible at each park, and the thrill attractions are worth the admission alone. If Blizzard Beach is in the forecast, a trip down
Summit Plummet is a must for any thrill seeker. If Typhoon Lagoon is the one, then a ride down
Crush 'n' Gusher will need to happen!
Marilee, I hope this information helps you plan for your stay!
