What are the typical busy times for 2017?

    Hi Ross,

You can usually look to school holiday times to pinpoint the busiest times at Walt Disney World: the week before and the week after Easter, the peak summer weeks from about mid-June to mid-August and the two weeks around Christmas. The Martin Luther King Jr. weekend, Presidents Day weekend and Columbus Day weekend also tend to be fairly busy,

You are most likely to find the smallest crowds between MLK Day and Presidents Day; from late February to mid-March; from late April until about Memorial Day; from late August until mid-November; and the first week or so in December.

We have found that Labor Day weekend draws relatively light crowds, mostly locals like us. And in recent years, as more school districts add fall breaks, we have noticed larger October crowds than we remember from our earlier days as annual passholders.

Thanks for dropping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Ross. I hope that helps with your planning. When you narrow your dates, please check back with us for recommendations on dining, resorts and special events. We're always here to assist!
