    When will typhoon lagoon reopen

    Hi Kelly!
    Welcome to planDisney.

Thank you for asking this question - many of us are also awaiting the answer!  Disney's water parks, including Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, are very popular with our Guests - myself included.  I love to spend a relaxing 'day at the beach' at a nice slower pace than somewhat busier days at the theme parks.

At this time there is no date for re-opening.  I suggest you keep checking the calendar and also keep your eye on the Disney Parks Blog for all the latest official news.

In the meantime, you might like to make some plans to get the most out of your day at the water park.  My top tip is to arrive 20-30 minutes before the official park opening time, rent a locker if you need to store some valuables, and then get in line for rope drop.   As soon as the park opens, make your way to a seating area,  close to lots of trees if you prefer a shady area - if you are there early you should have no trouble finding somewhere suitable.  There is also a nice quiet and shaded area close to the entrance of 'Crush n Gusher'.

If you want a private area to yourselves, did you know you can rent a Beachcomber Shack (a private, shaded patio, with comfortable cushioned seating, towels, refillable drinks mug, a locker, and a supply of cold water all day, among other things) or Typhoon Lagoon Umbrellas, for up to 4 Guests, with 2 chairs, 2 lounge chairs, towels, a small table and an umbrella?  These will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.  You can also enquire about same-day availability by visiting Singapore Sal's when you arrive at the water park.

If Typhoon Lagoon does not open in time for your visit, Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park might be open for you to enjoy!  Blizzard Beach offers similar facilities, including Polar Patios and Lodge Umbrellas which can currently be reserved online.

Keep checking the calendar, and I'll keep my fingers crossed that at least one of the water parks will be open for you to enjoy.  Please come back and visit us if you have any further questions.  We will be happy to help you plan your magical vacation to Walt Disney World.
