HI! Will Typhoon Lagoon be opened around March 22-31st of 2025? I've never been there, so I want to know if it will be open during my vacation time.

Hi there, Keya! Welcome to planDisney! I’m happy to help with your totally tubular question regarding the Walt Disney World water parks.

In recent years, Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon have alternated operations, and currently, Blizzard Beach is open to guests while Typhoon Lagoon is undergoing refurbishment. We recently received an update on the opening of Typhoon Lagoon, but I’m sorry to report that it is scheduled to open on May 1, 2025, which doesn’t overlap with the dates of your trip.

The good news, though, is that Blizzard Beach will be open during your stay. You can enjoy a relaxing float in Melt-Away Bay or an exhilarating drop down Summit Plummet, and if your trip happens to extend into April you’ll be able to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the water park! There will be dance parties, special snacks, and family-friendly games with prizes. It sounds like it is going to be a whole lot of frigid fun!

Don’t forget, Keya, guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel in 2025 get complimentary water park admission on the day you check-in. That’s right! What an awesome way to kick-off your vacation. I’ll be visiting Walt Disney World this spring and I can’t wait to take advantage of this promotion. A few loops around the Cross Country Creek lazy river will be just what I need after a day of travel.

I hope this info helps with your Disney vacation planning. Your magical trip will be here before you know it and I’m sure you’re going to have a brrr-illiant time. If you have any other questions, just pop right back to planDisney and ask away.

Have a splish splash spectacular time!
