Hi Jackie,
Welcome back to planDisney!
According to this
Disney Parks Blog article, Disney's Typhoon Lagoon re-opened on January 2, 2022. The current
Walt Disney World Resort calendar isn’t showing the hours for Typhoon Lagoon at this time, but I would continue checking the calendar as your holiday gets a little closer to see the specific opening hours. You can however go ahead and purchase your
Water Park tickets! You can purchase a 1-Day Water Park Ticket with or without Blockout dates.
Now let’s talk transportation, one of my favorite ways to get to Typhoon Lagoon is from Disney Springs because the Water Park is right around the corner. Here’s my suggested route, take a bus from Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort to Disney Springs. Once you get to the Disney Springs Bus Station at the Landing, you’ll then transfer over to a Typhoon Lagoon bus. In a few minutes, you’ll be ready for some fun in the sun! Make sure to try one of those new DOLE Whip flavors, I’m sure they’ll be the perfect treat for springtime.
It’s very easy to travel from
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort to
Disney’s Contemporary Resort, you’ll just take the Walt Disney World Monorail System. The
Resort Monorail loop stops at Magic Kingdom Park, Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, and Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows. Through this mode of transportation, you’ll be able to get to your breakfast reservation in a jiffy! If you’re going straight from Disney’s Contemporary Resort to Typhoon Lagoon, you’ll want to see my last tip below.
If you’re ever trying to get to a specific spot around the Walt Disney World Resort, you can also get directions through your My Disney Experience mobile app. Just select your destination in the app, press “Get Directions”, and enter your “From” and “To” destinations. You can do this from anywhere and it’s a super convenient way to find the best transportation options!
I hope this “Bit By Bryanna” is useful as you prepare your Walt Disney World Resort holiday in April. If you have further planning questions, feel free to reach out, I’m always happy to help!
