When will Typhoon lagoon close for the season? I noticed under park hours, it does not have any hours listed past October 1. We were wanting to visit Typhoon Lagoon on our October trip.

    Hi Dana,

Welcome to planDisney and thank you for your question! It’s great to hEAR that you’ll be vacationing at the Walt Disney World Resort later this year. It’ll be here before you know it!

Dana, I suggest checking out Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon webpage and in the upper right hand corner, you’ll see the calendar. Since you're now a couple of months away from your vacation, try checking again for October hours. They may begin showing up day by day as you get closer to your vacation. As of right now it looks like the hours are populated for October 1st (10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.)!

Once you decide on the best date, you can purchase your tickets here. Similar to the Theme Park tickets, there are tickets for guests “Ages 3 – 9” and tickets for guests “Ages 10+”.

Earlier this year, I had the honor of being a part of our inaugural planDisney Podcast where we discussed all things spring break as well as all things Typhoon Lagoon. As you prepare for your (Miss) Adventure, definitely check it out here! The video is called “Top Spring Break Tips at Disney | planDisney Podcast - Episode 1”. You’ll be able to hear about the story of Typhoon Lagoon and some of the amazing offerings that are available throughout the Water Park!

I hope this “Bit By Bryanna” is helpful as you get ready for your fall trip to the Walt Disney World Resort. If you have any other planning or vacation questions in the meantime, please feel free to reach out, I’m always happy to help!
