Hey there, Hazel! Thanks for splashing by planDisney with your question today! With the
recent announcement that Guests of Disney Resorts Collection Hotels will receive complimentary water park admission on their check-in day in 2025, there's a lot of interest in the details of the Disney Water Parks and the operating schedule for each one! Let's dive in!
Currently, the two Disney Water Parks,
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon and
Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park, are operating on a rotational schedule, meaning that when one closes for the season, the other opens operations. In fact, later this month, Typhoon Lagoon will welcome guests as Blizzard Beach closes for refurbishments. Historically, this pattern has shown Typhoon Lagoon to operate through the month of November and then the switch happens again in March.
While history does tend to repeat itself, Disney is also known for making exciting changes, and I'm anxiously awaiting news about the water park operations for my own family's trip this summer! Looking ahead to 2025, I'd keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog to see what unfolds in the next few months for the summer of 2024. I'd say if the water parks operate simultaneously this summer, there's a good chance we can expect them to follow that pattern in the future. It's too bad we don't have Madame Leota's crystal ball to see the future, so in the case of us foolish mortals, only time will tell!
As you count down the days, be sure to check out all of the amazing attractions at the water parks so you'll be ready to make a splash when the time comes! Typhoon Lagoon is home to the
Crush 'n' Gusher water coaster and my favorite attraction at Blizzard Beach is the family raft ride,
Teamboat Springs! No matter which of the two water parks you have the chance to visit, you're going to have plenty of opportunities for thrills, chills, and floating your cares away! Look for me in the lazy river!
Just Keep Swimming,
Alison
