    Going to Typhoon Lagoon in Aug. I have heard water shoes recommended. My kids HATE them. Could they just wear flip-flops? Take them off on fast rides, and maybe at the edge of the wave pool, but use them to get there? Thx!

    Typhoon Lagoon is so much fun but I totally understand your dilemma. My children were not fans of water shoes when they were small. However, the concrete surfaces of the pools, including the wave pool and Castaway Creek, are rough. I am not a fan of water shoes at all, but I was so thankful to have some after spending some time in the wave pool. In my opinion, water shoes are recommended for very good reasons!

    That being said, they are recommended and not required. My recommendation would be to bring them just in case.
