    What types of sleeping arrangements do you use with your Toddler in a standard hotel room?

    At the Animal Kingdom Lodge and Wilderness Lodge, we got a bunk bed room. Our toddler would sleep on the bottom bunk. I would drape an extra blanket from the top bunk so it was hanging over the side. This created a little "room" for our son and allowed us to keep a low light on for reading.

    In deluxe resorts which have a daybed (Grand Floridian, Polynesian, etc), we would let our toddler sleep in the cozy daybed. It was the perfect size for him and safe with a bedrail.

    In standard rooms at moderate or value resorts, we would give our toddler the second double bed. We always requested bed rails.

    When our son was very young, we would request a crib.

    At WDW, our son always falls asleep quickly. We read with book lights or turn off all the lights until our son falls asleep. Once he's asleep we can watch tv or turn on low lights and he doesn't make a sound.

    Traveling with toddlers is an adventure. They really know how to see the fun in the journey and not just the destination.
