Hi there, Caroline. Welcome back to planDisney! Thanks for taking the time to swing by with another question for us. I see you have a magical trip to the
Happiest Place on Earth in early January. What a great way to start off the new year and thank you for entrusting us to help you with your trip-planning!
I tend to be an over-packer, feeling the need to be ready for all the possibilities. After all, weather in Southern California can vary during the daytime and after the sun goes down. When it comes to bag sizes, Disneyland Resort allows bags smaller than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high, with or without wheels. I usually find that a typical backpack is sufficient for a full day of fun at the parks. You can also bring in a small cooler, as long as it’s within the above listed dimension. While loose or dry ice is not permitted, you can bring in reusable ice packs to keep your items cool.
As for other personal items, there are some restrictions. For example, selfie sticks, handheld extension poles for cameras or mobile devices are not allowed. Drugs, firearms, or weapons of any kind are also prohibited. There are other specific prohibited items as well listed on the
Park Rules and Regulations page so I recommend checking that prior to your arrival.
Should you need to store your bag or personal item during your visit, I’m happy to report there are
lockers available for you to rent. The prices range depending on the size of locker and the rental includes access during park operating hours.
I hope this information is helpful for you, Caroline. As you continue to plan your upcoming trip, please don’t hesitate to stop by
planDisney again with more questions for us.
Sending you pixie dust,
Kiki
