Hiya, Kendra, and welcome to planDisney!
It looks like you're just a few sleeps away from
Walt Disney World Resort. How exciting! Let's get that park bag packed so that you're ready to stroll down Main Street, U.S.A. without a care in the world except when you'll grab your next hug from Mickey Mouse.
Since you'll be visiting Walt Disney World during the summer, it is absolutely a great idea to bring along a water bottle. Happily,
as long as the water bottle you are hoping to bring is not glass, you're more than welcome to carry one with you into the theme parks. Personally, I prefer to use a smaller water bottle that is less cumbersome to carry during those busy theme park days. Walt Disney World theme parks conveniently feature Water Bottle Refill Stations,
easily identifiable in the My Disney Experience app, so that you won't have to worry about where your next sip will come from, regardless of the size of your water bottle. You can also stop by quick-service dining locations to request a cup of ice water.
Although I'm always hoping to consume as many Mickey-shaped snacks as possible during each magical vacation, it is incredibly helpful (and budget-friendly) to bring a few snacks of your own with you into the theme parks, so I'm delighted to share that
Walt Disney World permits outside food and non-alcoholic beverages as long as they are not in glass containers, require heating or refrigeration, and don't have pungent odors.
There's nothing quite like enjoying a snack with a view of Cinderella Castle, so I encourage you to enjoy a midday break with your snacks and water bottle on one of the grassy areas of the Hub that connects Main Street, U.S.A. to Cinderella Castle. It's sure to be a restful moment that becomes a magical memory.
I hope this helps you pack for your visit, Kendra, and that your vacation is
practically perfect! If any other questions arise, don't hesitate to come see us again at
planDisney. You've got a friend in me!
Thinking Happy Thoughts,
Lizzie
