Hi there, Mark!
Welcome aboard!
I'm glad you're aware that
some electronic devices and appliances aren't allowed on your Disney Cruise. Power strips, extension cords, and surge protectors can't go cruising with you, but a USB hub is a handy and welcome addition! I have two different USB hubs that I love to travel with. I suggest looking for hubs that plug directly into a regular outlet and have space for 3 or 4 USB connections. If you search online for a "4 plug USB wall charger" there are great options at the top of the list. You can also search for "slim USB wall chargers" to find some that are a little more compact. I've had great success with Anker and iHome brands.
These hubs are particularly helpful if you're planning to use
DisneyBand+ on your cruise! The adorable bands (there are special Disney Cruise designs you can only get as a guest on a cruise) are rechargeable, and each one comes with a cord that requires a USB outlet to charge. So having a multi-port is a great way to make sure no one runs out of battery! You're also welcome to use MagicBand+ if you already have one from a previous vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort or the Disneyland Resort. Some fun interactive moments happen with bands on the ships, plus you can use them to access your stateroom quickly and easily!
Speaking of tech gadgets, if you'll be relying on your phone to take photos on
Port Adventures and around the ship there are two other items I recommend bringing: a waterproof bag and an extra phone battery. I keep my phone in "airplane mode" the entire time we are cruising, but I use it for photos and the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App a lot! My extra battery keeps me charged up and the little waterproof bag means I don't worry about it getting wet at the pool or beach.
Have a fantastic time on your cruise, Mark!
Keep moving forward!
Amanda
