Is there any type of transportation between the Disneyland Hotel and California Adventure Park? I have limited mobility and don’t want to be too tired and in more pain before we even get into the park. I’m trying to avoid using a wheelchair or ECV..

    Hiya, Joan!

You are going to love the convenience of the Disneyland Resort. Both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park are less than 100 yards from each other. All three of the Disneyland Resort Hotels are within convenient walking distance of each other and of the parks. At the heart of it all, you’ll find the Downtown Disney District.

The walk from the gateway to the Disneyland Hotel grounds, indicated by the iconic Sorcerer Mickey hat, to the entrance of the Downtown Disney District station of the Disneyland Monorail attraction is about 500 feet. The Monorail is an available transportation option for when you visit Disneyland Park. For a visit to Disney California Adventure Park, your walk through the vibrant Downtown Disney District will be an additional third of a mile to arrive at the center of the esplanade between the two theme parks. Although there is not a transportation option available through Downtown Disney District, all throughout, you will find plenty of shady seating areas to rest.

If you find that the walk from the Disneyland Hotel happens to be more than you are comfortable taking, you may choose to rent a wheelchair or electric conveyance vehicle (ECV). The rental facility is located right outside the entrance to Disneyland Park. There are also a number of third-party rental companies in the area that will allow you to continue using their equipment back at your hotel.

Besides the Disneyland Monorail, another great way to save steps throughout your visit to the Disneyland Resort theme parks is to add Disney MaxPass to your park tickets. While the use of Disney FASTPASS kiosks is a complimentary service with your tickets, MaxPass lets you enjoy the benefits of FASTPASS from the convenience of your mobile device. And I love that it includes unlimited downloads of all your Disney PhotoPass photos as well!

I hope you have a magical time at the Disneyland Resort, Joan!
