What type of oil do the Janpanese restaurants use? My granddaughter is allergic to peanuts.

    Hi Deborah!

At the time I am answering this question, the Japanese restaurant, Teppan Edo, in EPCOT, does NOT use peanut oil in their cooking.  They use soybean, sesame seed, and cottonseed oil.

Any time you make an advanced dining reservation at Disney, please ask them to note any food allergies or concerns on your reservation.  Then, upon arrival for your reservation, let the host or hostess know immediately of any allergies or concerns you have so they can ask the chef to come to your table to discuss options with you.

Disney has always done an excellent job of accommodating my niece, who has severe food allergies to several things.

I hope you have a wonderful vacation in Walt Disney World.
