    What type of magic bands can I order?

    Hiya Adam! Welcome to planDisney, and thanks so much for stopping by with a question about my favorite Disney accessory -- the MagicBand! It sounds like you have a Walt Disney World vacation coming up next summer, and perhaps you’ve reserved a stay at a Disney Resort Hotel! Of course, any visitor to Walt Disney World can benefit from MagicBands. However, anytime you are staying on property, your MagicBand truly becomes your key to the Kingdom! It can serve as a room key, payment method, theme Park Ticket, and so much more! 

    There are many ways to procure a MagicBand. In fact, they can be purchased easily via your My Disney Experience account! First, you must make sure that your Resort Reservation is linked within your account. Then, within the “My Plans” page of your My Disney Experience Account, you should see an icon featuring MagicBands and the words “Choose Your Magic Bands.” There, you’ll find the option to choose a MagicBand for each Guest who will be traveling with you. In fact, there are now so many premium, themed MagicBands to choose from, and it may be hard to choose just one! Of course, you will also see the simple colored bands there as well. Adam, did you know that prior MagicBands still linked to your My Disney Experience account are likely still able to be used? If you are storing any away at home, check to see if they are active in your account and bring them along! Also, keep your eyes and EARs peeled for all the fantastic MagicBands you will find while visiting Walt Disney World retail locations. You might just find one you cannot live without!

    While you are preparing for your trip, make sure that you have the latest version of the My Disney Experience Mobile App downloaded on your mobile device and that you have browsed the Experience Updates pages for the latest information on all the ways that Walt Disney World is keeping Guests and Cast Members safe and in the magic.
