Ahoy, Jeanne! Thank you for returning to planDisney to ask us your question.
I’m so excited to hear you’re sailing on the
Disney Wish this summer! The staterooms are beautiful and functional – the night light in the bathroom is a great feature! Your stateroom quickly becomes your home away from home. I can understand wanting to make your cabin as comfortable as possible.
I’m happy to share that you may bring a portable fan in your carry-on luggage. Disney Cruise Line doesn’t have a list of approved fans, but the Chief Electrician will check that the plug and cord are in good shape, the fan sits on a sturdy base, and it’s in good working condition.
Jeanne, as your cruise draws near, it’s always a good idea to check the
Prohibited Items list before heading to the port. On my last cruise, I saw a table dedicated to confiscated items. If your fan is not approved, you can retrieve it after you leave the ship on debarkation day. Disney Cruise Line provides a
packing checklist on their website if you need any packing ideas. One item I always bring is a pop-up laundry basket. Having a dedicated place for our laundry helps keep our stateroom tidy.
I hope you feel well-prepared to sail this summer. Please cruise by with any additional questions. My pals and I are happy to help!
SEAS the adventure!
