Type 1 diabetic in our group; uses insulin pump. I know we can request sharps container at check-in for disposal of lancets, infusion sets. Do we leave filled container for mousekeeping at end of stay or do we take it somewhere for disposal? Thanks!!

    Hi Alice!

I also have a family member with Type 1 diabetes and a pump. The sharps containers make disposal of used supplies easy and safe. Mousekeeping will take care of these containers for you; no need to lug them away yourself.

Keep juice or glucose bars in your bag with you at all times. You are more active than you realize in the parks and you are not following your regular schedule. Blood sugar levels may suddenly drop and you want to be prepared if you are in line or watching a show.

    Enjoy your magical vacation!
