Dear Margaret! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
While it seems like forever since my last Walt Disney World Resort vacation, I was actually at
Disney's Coronado Springs Resort a couple of weeks ago participating in the
Walt Disney World Marathon presented by Cigna. The early mornings required this night hawk to rely on the in-room coffee maker on several occasions to ward off any sleepy desires.
Our in-room coffee maker (Ranchos area, Standard King Room) was a Cuisinart 2-Cup Coffee Maker with Joffrey's brand pods and a limited supply of whitener, sugar and sweetener. The coffee maker requires the use of pods as there did not appear to be any filter for ground coffee. The pods resembled circular tea-bags and the machine simply heats water before passing through the pod and into the cup.
If you require a consistent flow of java to keep you going throughout your day, coffee is also available at Cafe Rix and Pepper Market in El Centro (the main building) and at Siestas Cantina at the base of the 50-foot pyramid that towers over the Lost City of Cibola pool.
Starbucks Coffee locations are found in each of the 4 Walt Disney World Resorts and at Disney Springs.
While at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort, my wife and I shared
a romantic meal of Nuevo Latino cuisine and live music at Maya Grill, and heartily recommend the experience. If our kids had joined us on our trip, we would have been sure to explore the Spanish Colonial retreat while riding a
4 or 6-person Surrey bike around Lago Dorado.
Have a Magical Vacation!
