i have a two year old, please tell me my options for child care when my husband and i go out to eat at night.

Susie, the minimum age for the resort child care facilities is three years old now.  I would suggest you consider using an outside childcare service and one that I have used and been very happy with is called Kids Nite Out. We have used them for many years and have had children and grandchildren from infant to pre teen age.

You can discuss you needs and preferences with them when you call to make a reservation.  The sitter will arrive at your resort and will bring toys and material for the age of your child to keep them occupied and happy during your evening away.  We would often get a dummy key for our room that would allow the sitter to stroll the younger kids around the resort but that is up to each individual parent.  They will not be allowed to bathe or take the kids swimming.  For meals we have asked them to order room service which was very convenient.  Most will carry cell phones so communication through-out the evening was very easy.

Kids Nite Out is not Disney but is recommended by Disney.  You can reach them by calling 1-800-696-8105 or 407-828-0920. There was a minimum for hours of service so be sure and ask them what that is at this time!
Hope this information helps you make plans for a great dinner out during your vacation!
