If a two year cant get the dining plan do you have to buy their food?

    Hi Kathy!

Disney restaurants are very accommodating when it comes to traveling with the smallest member of your party.  At buffets such as Crystal Palace and family style meals like 'Ohana, children under the age of three will be given a beverage and allowed their own plate at no extra charge.  When dining at table service restaurants that are not served family style or buffet, your server can bring you an extra plate so that your child may share your meal.  For counter service restaurants, you will also have to share from your meal but you will have to purchase their drink separately.

Of course, you can always purchase meals out of pocket, but unless your 2 year old has a very big appetite I find that it is often unnecessary.  Meals at table service and counter service restaurants are often larger enough to easily be shared with your little one.  When my children were under three and I knew we would be dining at a restaurant where they may not enjoy what is on the menu, I would bring a meal or prepackaged item such as Gerber graduates.  Shortly before our meal time I would make a quick stop at a Baby Care Center located in each of the 4 parks or the food court area in one of the hotels to heat their food up by microwave.

I hope this helps and please let me know if you have anymore questions!

    Best Wishes!
