We have two tickets left over from our trip to DW last Oct because two member of our family had to be seen in the ER for a stomach virus. Can I use those two tickets on our upcoming trip back to DW in November?

Hi Chris! Welcome to planDIsney. We’re so glad you’re here.

Oh boy, those tummy bugs are the WORST, aren’t they? I’m sorry to hear that it got in the way of your vacation plans. That must have been so disappointing! But, it looks like you have another visit coming up this November. That is such great news, especially since you’ll be arriving in time to enjoy all that The Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration has to offer! One of the most spectacular highlights of the celebration is the new nighttime fireworks spectacular, Disney Enchantment. You'll watch in awe as both Cinderella Castle and Main Street, U.S.A., come alive with color, light and music. I can say from experience that the show will absolutely blow you away!

Now, to your question! Entirely unused tickets do expire, but the value of those tickets will remain in your account. Meaning, if you purchased your three-day theme park ticket and did not use any of those days, you can use the value of that ticket toward a future ticket purchase. However, if you had used any of the days on your ticket before the members of your party fell ill, the value of your unused day would be forfeited, and, unfortunately, you would not be able to use this as a credit toward a future visit.

Now, at this time, you cannot access the unused ticket online. So, to use the value of the unused tickets for your future visit, you would need to call the Existing Tickets team at (407) 934-7639. The fabulous Cast Members on this team will be more than happy to get this taken care of for you.

I see you will now be visiting during The EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, which is an absolute must-do if you ask me! EPCOT is often open later than some other parks, so I like to start my day at a park that closes earlier, head back to my hotel for a quick nap or dip in the pool, and then hop over to EPCOT to enjoy the festival in the evening. It's the perfect time to enjoy the delicious food from the outdoor kitchens and grab a drink before watching the incredible nighttime spectacular, Harmonious. Talk about an ideal day, right?!

I do hope this has been helpful, Chris! Please feel free to pop back over with any other questions as you finalize your vacation plans. We would love to help you make the absolute most of your Walt Disney World Resort Vacation!

    Bye for now!
