Hiya, Cecelia, and thanks for bringing your question to
planDisney!
I’m so excited for your upcoming visit to the
Happiest Place on Earth this summer, but I’m sorry to hEAR that your husband won’t be able to join you anymore. I’m glad your sister-in-law will be able to take his place and enjoy some Disney magic with you, though.
Technically, you don’t have to worry about changing the name on the
theme park ticket, since tickets aren’t actually assigned to a specific person until each ticket is scanned at the front entrance turnstiles. As each Guest in your group is scanned in, the Cast Member will take a picture to assign one ticket to each specific Guest. At that point, the ticket can’t be transferred to anyone else. However, if you’d prefer to change the name on the ticket for utilizing
Disney Genie+ service, or for any other reason, you may do so by
calling Ticket Services for assistance, or by visiting a Main Entrance Ticket Booth upon arrival at the Disneyland Resort.
There’s so much to be excited for this summer, Cecelia! I can’t wait to catch
the much-anticipated return of our favorite nighttime spectaculars, including the Main Street Electrical Parade, World of Color, Disneyland Forever fireworks, and Fantasmic! Talk about a summer to remember!
I hope this information helps as you continue planning your June visit, Cecelia! Please stop by with any additional questions you may have… we’re all EARs!
Happy planning,
Kristin
