I have two sixteen year old boys and they are bringing their two best friends and was wondering what is the best resort to stay in with children that age. Can I have a answer for all three categories (deluxe, moderate etc)? Thank you so much.

    Hi Jeremy!

Teenagers typically want something fun and interesting to do at their Walt Disney World Resort hotel.  The best thing that comes to my mind is an awesome pool!  The best pool on property is Stormalong Bay, which is basically a mini-water park.  It has a fantastic water slide and the pool has sand at the bottom.  There's even an island surrounded by water for young guests to build sand castles on, but my guess is the boys might be too old for that!  Stormalong Bay is shared by both the Beach Club and Yacht Club Resorts.  The next best pool on property is, in my opinion, at the Animal Kingdom Lodge followed by the pool at Bay Lake Tower.  All of those are Deluxe Resorts, except for Bay Lake Tower, which is a Deluxe Villa Resort.

The best Disney Moderate Resort is Port Orleans Riverside.  I especially love the Alligator Bayou section of the resort.  It has a great pool with a relatively long water slide.  The best Disney Value Resort is Pop Century, but I don't think the boys would find the pool special.  It's simply the best Disney Value Resort!  That's because it has a great food court and the best bus service.

At the Beach Club, Yacht Club, Bay Lake Tower, and Port Orleans Riverside, you can rent boats to take out on the water which is a lot of fun.  That said, Bay Lake Tower, or any of the other Magic Kingdom resorts, is best for boating because the Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake are very large.

    Good luck with your decision!
