I have two separate park reservations on the same day (added additional guest to the party at a later date). Will I be able to schedule my whole group for lightening pass or virtual ques at the same time??

Hi Jeanine, and welcome to planDisney! Your trip is almost here – can you already smell the popcorn and hear the Disneyland Band? I'm happy to provide details that can help get you ready for this magical visit.

Jeanine, as long as you have each person's theme park ticket linked to your MyDisney account, you can manage Lightning Lane bookings and join virtual queues for them. You can make your first Lightning Lane selection once you've scanned into the park. There are a few things to keep in mind, though. If someone in your party hasn't entered the park yet, they won't appear as eligible for Lightning Lane in your Disneyland mobile app until they scan in. And to join the virtual queue for World of Color Happiness!, you'll need to have entered California Adventure Park by the time the opportunity opens at noon.

There have been plenty of times when I've made a theme park reservation for my family at different times, and it's never been a problem for us. As long as everyone has a reservation for the same park and the same day, you'll be able to start your morning together immersed in the Disney magic we all know and love. Just make sure each person's ticket is linked to your account. To check ahead of time, open the Disneyland mobile app, tap the icon with three lines at the bottom of the screen (≡), and then tap "My Tickets & Passes." There, you'll be able to swipe through and see each person's ticket. It's also where you can link additional tickets if needed.

Jeanine, I'm glad that the Lightning Lane Multi Pass is on your radar. It's a great way to fit more into your day. Here are some tips:

    • I recommend prioritizing the more popular attractions early in the day. At Disneyland Park, those include Indiana Jones Adventure and Space Mountain. Over at California Adventure, keep an eye on Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! and Toy Story Midway Mania, as they tend to book up quickly.
    • Lightning Lane selections are made one at a time. Once you’ve redeemed a selection (or after two hours have passed), you can book your next return time. And remember, you can book each attraction once.
    • Single passes are available for a few of the most popular attractions not included in the multi pass. You can purchase those separately on the day of your visit after you enter the park.
    • With the Lightning Lane Multi Pass, you'll receive unlimited digital downloads of Disney PhotoPass photos all day long. It's a great opportunity to have photos taken with your entire family, especially at iconic locations like Sleeping Beauty Castle.
Jeanine, there is so much to do and see at the Disneyland Resort right now – the 70th Anniversary Celebration is underway, bringing amazing entertainment, festive food, merchandise collections, and more to both parks. Paint the Night and Wondrous Journeys are two of my favorite shows ever – I hope you have a chance to see them.
