Hi Colleen! Welcome to planDisney!
I'm happy you are considering a visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth later this year! Staying in a
Disney Resorts Hotel is one of the best choices you can make, especially considering the countless benefits that come along with it. Having early access to the theme parks each day and complimentary Disney transportation are just two of the many perks.
Disney's Art of Animation Resort is a fantastic choice for your stay! The theming is incredible and the larger-than-life Disney décor helps set it apart. Most of the resort rooms consist of family suites, which sleep up to 6 adults. These buildings include the Lion King, Cars, and Finding Nemo-themed buildings. These rooms do not have connecting doors between them. However, the Little Mermaid building does consist of standard rooms that have a connecting door option. These rooms typically sleep up to four Guests. Connecting rooms or rooms that are next to each other are not guaranteed when you are booking your stay. You can put in a request before arriving and the resort will do its best to accommodate your reservation.
Disney's Pop Century Resort, which is located within walking distance of Art of Animation, has several connecting rooms throughout its resort. Again, these rooms will be standard rooms that sleep up to four Guests. However, there are many more rooms located at this resort within this category. If you only require four Guests per room, either of these resorts may be a great option. If family suites are what you need, then requesting rooms near one another at Art of Animation will be your best choice.
Colleen, I hope this information helps you plan for your stay. To book your Disney Resorts Hotel or look at pricing options, head over to the
Walt Disney World website and use the "Build Your Vacation" toolbar located at the top of the page.
Happy planning!
Greg
