Welcome back to planDisney, neighbor! This back-and-forth Georgia weather that cannot decide if it's winter or spring has me dreaming of time at sea, too. With your cruise so close, Paulette, it won't be long before you are on the pool deck, enjoying the sunshine. Is there room in your suitcase for my envy?
Speaking of packing, you absolutely can take snacks in their original factory-sealed packaging on the cruise with you. The
list of prohibited items also says the same is true for taking food off the ship. I like taking snacks on
Port Adventures, so I tend to bring snack-size treats with me. Unlike beverages, which can damage your belongings and those of other passengers with a leak or puncture, there are no policies I have seen prohibiting you from having snacks in your checked luggage. I've packed some fun-size chocolate bars and M&Ms with no issue.
For your question on the printed Navigators, I have heard conflicting reports from people on social media about their availability, so I went to the source: Disney Cruise Line. A Cast Member let me know they do have print copies at Guest Services. She cautioned that there are a limited number, available on a first-come basis. If you want a print version, make this part of your morning routine and go early.
I am a huge fan of the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App for checking out all the
Onboard Activities. In the morning, I scan the activities for the day and mark the heart for the ones I want to go to. I like getting reminders when the fun of the day has me losing track of time. Just offering this as an option, if the Navigators are gone before you get one.
I hope you have a wonderful time on the
Disney Magic. With so much to do on board and at the destinations, I have no doubt all of your planning is going to result in the carefree vacation of your dreams! And if you want to bring some of that sunshine back to Georgia with you, I'm all for it!
