Two questions: Are plates, utinsils etc... included in the kitchen in the Riviera Villas? Do you have to have the Disney "watches" to charge things in the shops and restaurants? Thank you

    Hiya, De'Nice!

I'm so glad you found your way to planDisney.  It looks like you only have a few more days until you arrive at Disney's Riviera Resort –– are you counting the minutes already?  While I haven't gotten to visit this Resort yet, I have a stay booked for later this year and I can't wait to see it in person. From the elegant decor and beautiful murals to the ease of jumping on Disney Skyliner (and don't even get me started on breakfast at Topolino's Terrace!), a Riviera holiday in the heart of Walt Disney World Resort sounds magnifique!  I think you're in for an incredible visit!

With access to either a kitchenette or a fully-equipped kitchen, Disney Vacation Club Deluxe Villas truly feel like a home-away-from-home.  If you'll be staying in a Deluxe Studio during your visit to Disney's Riviera Resort, you'll find disposable plates, cups, and utensils, as well as a microwave, drip-style coffeemaker, toaster, and mini-refrigerator.  If you're making a 1-Bedroom Villa or larger your home base, your fully-equipped kitchen will come with ceramic plates, glassware, and utensils, along with a full-sized refrigerator, stove and oven combo, dishwasher, in-room washer and dryer, and more –– perfect for making everything from a quick breakfast to an entire Thanksgiving dinner!

Once you're ready to venture out from your room, MagicBands (those Disney "watches") are a great way to charge food and merchandise purchases to your room, enter theme parks, or unlock your room door, but they're not the only way to do those things.  My favorite way to access all the magic during my Walt Disney World vacation is by creating a Disney MagicMobile pass in the My Experience app, which allows me to use both my phone and smartwatch just like a MagicBand.  And if you're looking for a lower-tech option? You can also visit the front desk at your Resort to request a Key to the World Card to access all those same MyMagic+ benefits.

Thanks for stopping by planDisney, De'Nice!  I'm wishing you lots of pixie-dusted adventures during your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation!

    See Ya Reall Soon,
