Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Paula! I’m glad you’re hEAR! On behalf of the Panel, thank you to you and your family for your service to our country!
Yes! You absolutely can use FastPass+ reservations with a military ticket. The tricky part is that you will have to have these tickets in-hand and hooked up the My Disney Experience and your family profiles in order to continue forward and select your FP+ reservations. I know that Shades of Green, in the past, has offered to mail these ticket to you for a small fee, but getting them from your local military ticket office would be your best bet. Remember that with a Walt Disney World Resort hotel stay (Shades of Green included) you can book these reservations at 60 days before check-in. My Coast Guard brother always loves rollercoasters, but we have a much better chance at snagging a FP+ for this attraction if he purchases the tickets locally and we hook them up before our booking window arrives. Though, he admittedly likes the easier-to-book Mad Tea Party as much as I do, so we are very relaxed then choosing our attraction FastPasses.
Regarding your second question, general admission Walt Disney World Resort tickets expire 14 days after first use, but
military tickets have a much longer life span. If you were to purchase the 4-day military ticket today, you could use two days once you arrive and not use the other two days until later this year. The fine print on those tickets typically notate an expiration date. For 2018, that would be December 19, 2018. Don’t forget to think about the military Memory Maker Special, which offers the product for a special price—$98 through 12/19/18. It’s the perfect addition to your magical vacation! If I can help you with anything else during your trip, please let me know. You’ve got a friend in me! ~ Lindsey P.
