I have two questions actually. Can I get magic bands if I’m going for only 8 days? And do I have to show and ID when I go to the parks with said magic band?

    Hey there, Yaireliz !

Thanks for bringing us your questions here at planDisney. Each of us here at planDisney is happy to help you enjoy all the fun for your Walt Disney World Resort vacation.

It's exciting to hear you have an eight-day stay planned at Walt Disney World Resort. There is so much to do and see, and I think you're giving yourself lots of days to take in all the Disney experiences.

For me, a MagicBand is both a cool tech tool and a fun Disney fashion accessory. Though MagicBands are no longer provided free to Walt Disney World Resort hotel Guests, you can purchase a MagicBand online at shopDisney. You can also purchase MagicBands at select shops and retail locations around Walt Disney World Resort. You'll want to be sure to link your MagicBand and your theme park admission tickets to your Disney Account. Using your MagicBand for theme park entry is super easy. I recommend having your photo ID handy, though showing your ID won't be needed every time you enter the theme parks using your MagicBand.

Yaireliz, I also highly recommend the My Disney Experience mobile app as a cool and convenient tool for making your stay fun and easy. The great news is that there are new features coming to the My Disney Experience app this year, so be sure to check for Walt Disney World Resort updates, and be sure to follow
Disney Parks Blog to read about all the new magic that awaits you.

Enjoy your Walt Disney World Resort vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
